The 12th Annual NIH Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Conference will be held June 2 & 3, 2010, in Raleigh, North Carolina. The theme of this year’s annual conference, which is hosted by the North Carolina Small Business and Technology Development Center, is “Triangulating Commercial Success: Knowledge, Partnerships, & Capital.” It encompasses two full days of in-depth information about the NIH SBIR and STTR programs including funding opportunity identification, application preparation and electronic submission, post award administration, and transitioning into the marketplace.

Highlights of this year’s program:

  • Breakfast session with NIH, CDC, FDA representatives to learn how to get the most out of the conference
  • “Women in Business: From the Trenches” luncheon session (panel of experienced women entrepreneurs sharing how they have navigated the challenging financial environment)
  • One-on-one meetings with more than 60 NIH, CDC, and FDA federal program and grants management officers
  • An in-depth look at the changes in the NIH application submission process as a result of the Enhanced Peer Review initiative
  • Workshops on Indirect Costs & Audit Requirements
  • Strategies for Raising Capital and Developing Partnerships
