Electronic Streamlined Noncompeting Award Process (eSNAP) Error in Report Image

Notice Number: NOT-OD-10-010

Key Dates
Release Date: October 30, 2009

Issued by
National Institutes of Health (NIH), (http://www.nih.gov)

Purpose

This Notice advises the research community that there is an error in the report image generated in the electronic streamlined noncompeting award process (eSNAP).

Details

The first two eSNAP questions are incorrectly stated in the progress report image generated in eSNAP. The error appears only in the eSNAP image stored in the Grant Folder.  The questions are correctly stated in the actual eSNAP screen that the user sees when preparing an eSNAP report.

The first two eSNAPs questions in the report image should read:

Has there been a change in the other support of senior/key personnel since the last reporting period?

Will there be, in the next budget period, a significant change in the level of effort for the PD/PI9s) or other senior/key personnel designated on the Notice of Award from what was approved for this project?

The questions incorrectly state:

Has there been a change in the other support of All Personnel since the last reporting period?

Will there be, in the next budget period, a significant change in the level of effort for the PD/PI9s) or other All personnel designated on the Notice of Award from what was approved for this project?

eSNAP Release

The error will be corrected in an eSNAP release the evening of Thursday, November 5, and in production for use on Friday November 6, 2009.

eSNAP does not provide the functionality to correct reports submitted with the error.  However, NIH has documented the problem and reports with the error are acceptable.
