Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to announce changes to PAS-07-381 entitled “Advancing Novel Science in Women’s Health Research (R21)” http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PAS-07-381.htm with regards to the following language found  in Part II, Section 1, Research Objectives, Institute/Center Specific Research Interests and Requests stating:

• NIAID is interested in projects involving HIV and opportunistic infections.

NIAID has expanded its projects of interest and is presently interested in applications that meet the scientific areas of its mission, which is to support research to understand, treat, and ultimately prevent the full range of infectious and immunologic diseases, including sexually transmitted infections (STIs), fungal infections, food borne illnesses, autoimmune diseases and primary immunodeficiency diseases.
