Ranking Information: The ranking tables include data from both grants and contracts. This information reflects data available in the NIH system at the end of the fiscal year.

Institutional officials are advised to scan the grants and contracts information on the NIH Extramural Awards by State and Foreign Site page to identify possible misassignments.

If you need to make changes to the grants and contracts data, please request these changes no later than July 15, 2006. NOTE: All web reports will reflect the status of the data files as of July 15th - the cut-off date.

All change requests should be emailed in Excel format to Ms. Arlette Cooper coopera@od.nih.gov for grants and DSAMail@mail.nih.gov for contracts.

For a department combining name change, select the new combining name and code from the approved list of NIH department combining names dept_name.csv
For a major component combining name change, select the new combining name and code from the approved list of NIH major component combining names mc_name.csv.

For all requests, please include the complete Excel file line (which has an NIH identification number for the contract) with its original data, and in the line immediately below, indicate changes requested. Rankings are based on department combining name and major component combining name. If requests include a change in department combining, or major component combining name, please make sure that the NIH combining code, as well as the name, is provided.

It is recommended that you recheck the data in approximately 2-3 working days to verify that the change has been made. These files will be updated on a weekly basis, but data changes are not necessarily reflected in the database on the day they are made.
