On Thursday, October 6, the NIH Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare, the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, Marshall BioResources, Dick Burnham Technical Sales, Charles River Laboratories, Purina Mills Lab Diet, Allentown Caging Equipment, and Scotts Distributing, Inc. will co-sponsor an IACUC 101 conference. The course will be held at the RIT Inn & Conference Center, 5257 West Henrietta Road, West Henrietta, New York, which is located within miles of the Rochester International Airport. The IACUC 101 is a full day didactic and interactive training course that provides a basic yet comprehensive overview of the laws, regulations, and policies that govern the humane care and use of laboratory animals with examples and possible approaches for successful and effective administration.
