A.  ADDITION OF A RECEIPT DATE FOR ACCEPTANCE OF SBIR GRANT APPLICATIONS TO 
SPECIFIED CDC CENTERS. The following awarding components of the Centers for 
Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will accept Small Business Innovation 
Research (SBIR) grant applications in Calendar Year 2001 for the August 1 
receipt date IN ADDITION TO the December 1 receipt date:

o NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH (NIOSH)
o NATIONAL CENTER FOR INJURY PREVENTION AND CONTROL (NCIPC)
o NATIONAL CENTER FOR CHRONIC DISEASE PREVENTION AND HEALTH PROMOTION (NCCDPHP)
o OFFICE ON SMOKING AND HEALTH
o NATIONAL IMMUNIZATION PROGRAM (NIP)
o NATIONAL CENTER FOR ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH (NCEH)

B.  WITHDRAWAL OF SBIR TOPICS FOR CDC/NCHSTP IN THE PHS 2001-2 OMNIBUS 
SOLICITATION OF THE NIH, CDC and FDA FOR SBIR/STTR GRANT APPLICATIONS.  CDC 
grant topics for the National Center for HIV, STD, and TB Prevention (NCHSTP) 
listed in the Department of Health and Human Services PHS 2001-2 Omnibus 
Solicitation of the National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control 
and Prevention, and Food and Drug Administration SBIR/STTR Grant Solicitation 
(see http://grants.nih.gov/grants/funding/sbir.htm) have been withdrawn.  
Effective immediately, CDC has announced that NCHSTP will not accept 
applications for the August 1 or December 1 receipt date in response to the 
PHS 2001-2 Omnibus Solicitation for Grant Applications. Note: All other CDC 
awarding components listed above will accept SBIR grant applications for the 
August 1 and December 1 receipt dates.
