The NIH Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare (OLAW), Office of Extramural
Research, along with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center,
Meharry Medical College, the American Association for Laboratory Animal
Science, and the Laboratory Animal Management Association, will cosponsor a
conference on Laboratory Animal Management and Technology, February 10-13,
2001, in Memphis, Tennessee.
The conference will focus on the management and technology needs of the
laboratory animal science community, emphasizing information pertinent to the
day-to-day management of laboratory animal facilities and career development
for managers, directors, and administrators. The meeting is open to anyone
involved in the field of laboratory animal science, including institutional
administrators, members of Institutional Animal Care and Use Committees,
laboratory animal veterinarians, investigators, researchers, regulatory
personnel, managers, supervisors, and other staff who are responsible for
laboratory animal care and use programs.
