NIH REGIONAL SEMINARS IN PROGRAM FUNDING AND GRANTS ADMINISTRATION FOR 2000 Release Date: November 23, 1999 NOTICE: OD-00-002 National Institutes of Health Two regional seminars covering topics related to National Institutes of Health extramural program funding and grants administration have been planned for 2000. The two-day seminars will feature both plenary and break-out sessions and will provide information of interest to academic researchers, scientists, graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and both new and senior research administrators. Sessions will include topics such as: scientific peer review, electronic research administration, human subjects/animal welfare, compliance issues, modular grant applications, conflict of interest, intellectual property, and more. The first regional seminar will be held on June 1 and 2 in Kansas City, Missouri. Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics will host the event in conjunction with the University of Missouri Kansas City and other local institutions. The second seminar will be held in Ithaca, New York on July 13 and 14, hosted by Cornell University. The agendas and registration procedures will be posted in the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts and on the NIH web site approximately two months prior to each event.
