Purpose

The purpose of this notice is to inform the community that the NIH Blueprint is changing the funding allowance for F99/K00 applications to RFA-NS-19-011. This change will apply to new and continuing NIH Blueprint F99/K00 awards.

Currently, the NIH Blueprint provides up to $50,000 salary (plus fringe) during the K00 phase. Effective for new and continuing K00 awards made with FY 2020 funds (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-20-070.html ), the NIH Blueprint will increase the amount provided for salary to up to $58,000, with the following provisions unchanged: The salary must be consistent both with the established salary structure at the institution and with salaries actually provided by the institution from its own funds to other staff members of equivalent qualifications, rank, and responsibilities in the department concerned. If full-time, 12-month salaries are not currently paid to comparable staff members, the salary proposed must be appropriately related to the existing salary structure.
