Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to correct the instructions for submitting applications for PAR-19-171, "Comparative Effectiveness Research in Clinical Neurosciences (UG3/UH3 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)." The changes are shown in Bold Italics below. This notice will be effective for the February 19, 2020 due date and subsequent due dates.

1. Scope. The scope of this FOA includes prospective observational studies (for example, studies of typical care when multiple treatment modalities are used, natural experiments with changes in medical care or policies, studies where care differs based on geography, or cohort-based studies, among others).

1. Scope. The scope of this FOA includes prospective observational studies (for example, studies of typical care when multiple treatment modalities are used, natural experiments with changes in medical care or policies, studies where care differs based on geography, or cohort-based studies, among others). Limited studies of outcomes that are not included in typical care may be included (e.g., limited implementation of neuropsychological studies), as relevant to the proposed hypothesis.

All other aspects of this FOA remain unchanged.
