Purpose

This Notice is to inform potential applicants requesting assignment to NINDS for the NIH Pathway to Independence Award (K99/R00; PA-16-193) and NINDS Postdoctoral Mentored Career Development Award (K01; PAR-17-145) of an upcoming informational webinar on preparing successful applications. NINDS staff will discuss components of each award, differences between the two award mechanisms, and the intended postdoctoral audience for each award. This webinar is recommended for postdoctoral fellows, faculty who are current or potentially future mentors for postdoctoral fellows, and anyone interested in learning about the NINDS philosophy of postdoctoral training and funding. In addition, current graduate students who intend to join laboratories as postdoctoral fellows are strongly encouraged to join the webinar, as NINDS encourages very early application for postdoctoral funding. This webinar is optional and not required for submission of applications.
