Notice Number: NOT-NS-10-015
Key Dates
Release Date: April 5, 2010
Issued by
National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), (http://www.ninds.nih.gov/)
Purpose
This Notice corrects/clarifies three aspects of NOT-NS-10-013: 1) frequency of administrative reporting; 2) allowability of PD/PI changes; and 3) budget format for applications requesting more than $250,000.
1) Frequency of administrative reporting for release of FY2 funds
NIH and DARPA program staff will use the annual progress report to make an administrative evaluation of whether there has been sufficient progress to merit release of funds for the second year. This evaluation may include site visits.
2) Change from single PD/PI to multiple PD/PIs
Competitive revisions allow a change in the Multiple PD/PI team as well as a conversion from a single PD/PI to multiple PD/PI. Applicants must include a multiple PD/PI Leadership Plan with the revision application if such changes are being proposed. See OER Multiple Principal Investigators Frequently Asked Questions http://grants.nih.gov/grants/multi_pi/faq.htm#d4.
3) Budget format
Applications requesting more than $250,000 are required to submit a detailed budget, regardless of the budget used for the parent award. Upon submission to Grants.Gov, a warning message will be generated, which can be ignored, and the application will move forward for processing.
All other aspects of NOT-NS-10-013 remain unchanged.
