Purpose
The purpose of this Notice is to alert potential applicants to an opportunity to obtain a basic overview and to ask questions regarding the PAR. This opportunity is not intended to replace more detailed discussions that applicants may wish to have with program staff. Potential applicants for PAR-07-456, NINDS Diversity Research Education Grants in Neuroscience (R25), are strongly encouraged to discuss their plans with NINDS program staff.
A “R25 Proposal Development and Information Workshop” will be held at the Neuroscience Center in Rockville, MD on Friday, February 29, 2008. The goal of the workshop will be to provide potential applicants with detailed information about the NINDS R25 Program Announcement and assist in the development of the grant proposal. The meeting will highlight examples of two successful R25 programs outside of our Institute, discuss the gaps in diversity training, address the components of evaluation and clarify the NINDS priorities.
Space is limited to the first 60 respondents; however a meeting summary and a Frequently Asked Questions document will be posted on the NINDS website after the workshop. Potential applicants interested in attending the workshop should contact:
