Purpose

The National Institute of Nursing Research is holding an applicant technical assistant webinar related to the recently released Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) RFA-NR-24-001: Firearm Injury Prevention in Community Healthcare Settings (R01 Clinical Trial Optional). The purpose of this initiative is to advance research that reduces firearm injury and disparities through the development and evaluation of firearm injury primary prevention interventions leveraging community healthcare settings.

This webinar will provide an overview of the NOFO. NIH staff will discuss the purpose and scope of this funding opportunity, go over the scientific review process and review criteria, and share the specific research interests of NINR and of the participating Offices. NIH staff will also address questions submitted in advance of the webinar.

Pre-registration for the webinar is encouraged. Participants are asked to submit their questions in advance of the webinar on their registration form or via e-mail to NINRProgram@mail.nih.gov. Participation in the webinar is encouraged but not required in order to submit an application in response to this funding opportunity.
