Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to change the Foreign Component Eligibility in RFA-MH-18-706, "Pilot Effectiveness Trials for Treatment, Preventive and Services Interventions (R34- Clinical Trial Required)" to allow for Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement. Section III.1 Eligible Applicants, Eligible Organizations, Foreign Institutions subsection has been updated to reflect this change:

Currently:
Foreign Institutions
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Institutions) are not eligible to apply.
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U.S. Organizations are not eligible to apply.
Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are not allowed.

Modified to read:
Foreign Institutions
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Institutions) are not eligible to apply.
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U.S. Organizations are not eligible to apply.
