Purpose
On December 11, 2014, NIMH released a funding opportunity announcement (FOA), PA-15-069 "NIMH Administrative Supplement Providing Research Experiences for Physicians and Medical Students from Diverse Backgrounds", announcing the opportunity for administrative supplements to provide funds to NIMH-supported research projects to support advanced research experiences for outstanding early career physicians and medical students from backgrounds underrepresented in biomedical and behavioral research. This program aims to increase the opportunities available for individuals from diverse backgrounds working in the mental health research workforce by recruiting and supporting outstanding physician-scientists and medical students from diverse backgrounds.
This FOA replaces the information previously announced via NOT-MH-12-019 "NIMH Administrative Supplement Providing Research Experiences for Physicians and Medical Students from Diverse Backgrounds ". NIMH will no longer accept supplement applications in response to NOT-MH-12-019. All applications should be submitted to PA-15-069 and any subsequent reissuances.
Applicants must follow all instructions in the recently issued FOA.
