Purpose

The purpose of this notice is to correct the Budget and Project Period allowed for the R21 grant mechanism in this program.  This R21 FOA is closely related to the R21/R33 FOA in the same topic area, PAR10-024 and is intended to cover the same scope as the R21 segment of the R21/R33 announcement.

In the originally published announcement (PA-10-023) the budget and project period are incorrectly reported as:

  • Budget and Project Period.  The total project period for an application submitted in response to this funding opportunity may not exceed two years. Direct costs are limited to $275,000 over an R21 two-year period, with no more than $200,000 in direct costs allowed in any single year.

The correct Budget and Project Period is:

  • Budget and Project Period.  The total project period for an application submitted in response to this funding opportunity may not exceed three years.  Direct costs are limited to $450,000 over the three-year period of this R21, with no more than $175,000 in direct costs allowed in any single year.

Issuance of this notice officially changes the budget and project period for PA-10-023.  No other aspects of this FOA are changed.
