The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) proposes to issue a Request 
for Proposal (RFP) No. NIMH-02-DS-206X for the five (5) topics listed below 
under the Small Business/Set-Aside procedures of the Small Business 
Innovation Research (SBIR) Program.

The SBIR topics are as follows:

Topic 0201: Development of Dissemination and Implementation Tools for the 
Delivery of Empirically Validated Mental Health Interventions in Rural and 
Frontier Areas

Topic 0202: Mental Health Intervention and Services Trial Operational Archive

Topic 0203: Developing Research Based Training Modules for Conducting 
Community Based Mental Health Interventions and Services Research with 
Underserved Racial/Ethnic and Rural/Frontier Populations 

Topic 0204: Web-based Resource on Meeting the Mental Health Needs of 
Individuals with Neuropsychiatric and Neurodevelopmental Disorders

Topic 0205: Evaluating Mental Health Interventions and Services Research 
Protocols in Urban and Rural Communities: Empirically Based Ethics Training 
Modules

RFP No. NIMH-02-DS-206X is scheduled for release on or about March 21, 2002 
and the due date for proposals will be on or about May 22, 2002.  One (1) or 
more contracts per topic are expected to be awarded on or before September 
30, 2002.  It is expected that each Phase I Contract will be approximately 
$100,000 and for a period of six (6) months.

The RFP may be accessed through http://www.fedbizopps.gov or the NIMH 
Contract web site at http://www.nimh.nih.gov/grants/indexcon.cfm.  It is the 
offerer's responsibility to monitor the above Internet sites for the release 
of this solicitation and amendments (if any).  Please note that the RFP for 
this requirement will include the Statement of Work, Deliverables, Reporting 
Requirements, Technical Evaluation Criteria, and proposal preparation 
instructions and other information required for the submission of a proposal.

This announcement does not commit the Government to award a contract.
