Purpose

Effective on October 1, 2020, the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) withdraws its participation in NOT-MD-20-022 "Notice of Special Interest (NOSI): Competitive and Administrative Supplements for Community Interventions to Reduce the Impact of COVID-19 on Health Disparity and Other Vulnerable Populations". Submissions intended for NIMHD which are received on October 1, 2020 or later will be withdrawn

Applicants interested in submitting research projects consistent with the mission of the NIMHD to address the COVID-19 pandemic are encouraged to contact a Program Director in a relevant NIMHD Research Interest Area to discuss their proposed work and identify an appropriate Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA). For example, consideration might be given to PAR-20-237, Community Interventions to Address the Consequences of the COVID-19 Pandemic among Health Disparity and Vulnerable Populations (R01- Clinical Trial Optional)" and PAR-20-243 "Digital Healthcare Interventions to Address the Secondary Health Effects Related to Social, Behavioral, and Economic Impact of COVID-19 (R01 - Clinical Trial Optional)". Additionally, investigator-initiated R01 projects may be submitted to parent R01 FOAs (PA-20-183, PA-20-184, PA-20-185).
