AHRQ CONCURS WITH REQUIREMENT OF DUNS NUMBER

Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) 

With this notice, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) 
informs the research community applying for grants that AHRQ concurs with the 
NIH policy published in the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts on August 14, 
2003, https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-03-055.html 

As indicated in the NIH policy, effective October 1, 2003, use of the Dun and 
Bradstreet (D&B) Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number will be 
required when applying for Federal grants or cooperative agreements.  For 
further information regarding this new Federal-wide requirement, NIH has 
developed a Question and Answer sheet to provide additional guidance for the 
grantee community on this new requirement. It is located at
