Purpose

The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) Division of Blood Diseases and Resources (DBDR) is issuing this Notice to announce the establishment of a means for investigators who do not yet have a program officer to ask for and receive information regarding training and career development grants focused on blood science. Effective immediately, potential training and career development grant applicants who plan to focus on blood science may send questions to the following mailbox:

NHLBI_Blood_Training@nhlbi.nih.gov

This mailbox will be routinely monitored.

Due to the overlap of blood science with other NIH Institutes, questions about whether a project is within the programmatic purview of NHLBI are also welcome.
