Purpose
A pre-submission informational webinar for a suite of FOAs related to the NHLBI Catalyze Program is scheduled for October 3, 2019 at 12:00 pm EDT. The webinar will provide an overview of the Catalyze program and focus on the aforementioned RFAs. The webinar will outline the purpose and objectives of the Catalyze-related FOAs, including application and peer review requirements, and budget considerations.
The NHLBI Catalyze Program offers funding, technical services, training, and mentorship to help transform scientific discoveries into promising healthcare products, such as diagnostics, therapeutics, and devices. Supports product definition studies, preclinical research, and the development of cutting-edge platform technologies.
Early stage technology development funding will be available for:
- Therapeutics (Small molecules/Biologics)
- Identifying and characterizing lead compounds
- Devices/Diagnostics/Tools
- Developing, testing, and modifying prototypes
- Identifying and developing assay targets
- Developing research tools
- Enabling Technologies and Transformative Platforms
- Developing highly-innovative, next-generation technologies that could transform current approaches to clinical practice or translational research (technology must be beyond proof-of-concept and should be ready to begin validation)
- Accelerating the areas of early detection and screening, animal model development, or clinical diagnosis
