Purpose
The purpose of this Notice is to inform interested applicants that the expiration date for the Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) PAR-16-021, "NHLBI TOPMed: Omics Phenotypes of Heart, Lung, and Blood Disorders (X01)" will be extended by one council round (changes shown in bold italics below). This FOA has been modified to expire on January 19, 2019. NHLBI strongly encourage investigators focusing on sickle cell and other rare blood disorders such as bone marrow and hemophilia, to respond. Applicants are also encouraged to propose other omics including microbiome measurements to address a specific hypothesis.
