The purpose of this Notice is to inform potential applicants that the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) is participating in PA-17-444 "Ethical, Legal, and Social Implications (ELSI) of Genomics Research Project Grant Program (R01)" effective immediately.

Areas of Research Interest

The NHLBI is interested in applications that address the ethical, legal, and social issues arising from genomic research on heart, lung, blood, and sleep diseases and disorders. In addition, the NHLBI is especially interested in applications that address ELSI topics relevant to its Strategic Vision. Guidance about NHLBI's specific ELSI research priorities is forthcoming and will be posted on the NHGRI's ELSI Research Domains website.
