Purpose

This Notice informs potential applicants that the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) is correcting the Award Budget section of PAR-16-026 "SBIR/STTR Commercialization Readiness Pilot (CRP) Program: Technical Assistance (SB1)" as follows:

Part 2. Section I. Funding Opportunity Description

The following sentence is added:
"The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) does not intend to provide awards to CRP applications associated with Phase IIB-funded projects."

Part 2. Section II. Award Information

Award Budget

Current Language:
"Budgets up to $300,000 total costs, for the entire project period, may be requested except for CRP applications associated with the Institutes listed below:

  • National Institute for Arthritis, Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS): total funding support may not exceed $100,000
  • National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK): total funding support may not exceed $150,000
  • National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS): total funding support may not except $200,000

Applicants are strongly encouraged to contact NIH program officials prior to submitting any application as individual ICs may have specific guidelines. In all cases, applicants should propose a budget that is reasonable and appropriate for completion of the research project."

Revised Language:
