Purpose
The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) will conduct a technical assistance webinar on Friday, February 14, 2014, on two companion Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs), RFA HL-14-021 and RFA HL-14-022. These FOAs solicit grant applications from institutions with the capacity to conduct a summer institute program or a coordination center, to facilitate the PRIDE program's goals of research skills and knowledge enhancement for junior faculty and transitioning post-doctoral scientists from backgrounds underrepresented in the biomedical science.
The PRIDE technical assistance webinar will provide an overview of the PRIDE program and important elements that applicants must take note of when applying for these FOAs. Participants will be in LISTEN MODE only and will not be able to ask questions via phone or chat during the webinar. Questions about the FOAs can be sent to the webinar organizers prior to the meeting at the email address below. During the webinar, effort will be made to answer as many of the questions sent in prior to the meeting, as possible. Additional questions not addressed during the webinar will be answered and posted on a forthcoming PRIDE FAQ page on the NHLBI website.
The webinar session will accommodate about 100 participants so interested individuals from the same institution are asked to consolidate their registration, if possible. All interested participants must register using the link below to receive detail instructions about the webinar. Registered participants will be sent reminders, details for accessing the webinar and the link to the FAQ page and any other resource as the webinar date approaches.
