Purpose

The NHLBI has suspended the use of the Method to Extend Research In Time (MERIT) Award (R37) funding mechanism.  No new nominations for MERIT awards will be made.
There are no changes for current MERIT awardees.  Active awards and requests for extensions will be processed in the usual manner.
