A web-based technical assistance meeting for RFA-HL-08-013 will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2008, 3:00-4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

About the online meeting
NHLBI will host a pre-application technical assistance “virtual” meeting on the web on November 5, 2008, at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The purpose of the meeting is to provide technical assistance on and to answer any questions regarding the application process. Persons considering submitting applications in response to RFA-HL-08-013 are strongly encouraged to attend the technical assistance meeting.  Those who cannot attend are encouraged to view a recording of the technical assistance meeting (see below). You are also encouraged to visit the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) website following the online meeting (see below).   

Meeting attendees must pre-register for the event at their earliest opportunity (instructions for pre-registering are provided below). Upon registering, participants will be emailed instructions for logging on to the website where the web-based meeting will be held.  The software application used to display the meeting is “Adobe Connect.” Please review system requirements (below) before the meeting to avoid last minute technical difficulties.

To participate in the webinar, participants MUST pre-register.  Instructions for logging on to the meeting website will be provided by reply-mail.

In the subject line, please write:  “RFA-HL-08-013 meeting.”

In the message body of the email please include the following:

  • Your Department
  • Email address
  • Please list the topics would you most like to see addressed during the technical assistance meeting. If you have any questions or concerns you would like to submit to the presenters before the meeting, you may also list them in your message.

Recording of technical assistance meeting

For those who cannot attend the live technical assistance meeting on November 5th, you will be able to access a recording of it. The website to the recorded technical assistance meeting will be posted in a Notice in the NIH Guide. All applicants are highly encouraged to take part in either the live technical assistance meeting or to view the recorded meeting.

A set of Answers to Frequently Asked Questions regarding the preparation of applications in response to the RFA is being developed and will be posted to a public website.  Please check the NIH Guide in the coming weeks for a separate Notice concerning publication of the Frequently Asked Questions.  All applicants are encouraged to review the FAQ’s prior to submitting their application.  We anticipate updating these as needed and recommend that applicants check back for updates to the FAQs regularly until their submission date.
