On April 26, 2006, the National Institutes of Health, on behalf of 19 Institutes, Centers and Offices, issued three related Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOA) as part of the NIH-wide program dealing with ethical issues in human subjects research:

(1) PA-06-367: Research on Ethical Issues in Human Subjects Research (R03) http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-06-367.html;
(2) PA-06-368: Research on Ethical Issues in Human Subjects Research (R21) http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-06-368.html;
(3) PA-06-369: Research on Ethical Issues in Human Subjects Research (R01) http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-06-369.html;

The NHGRI would like to inform the community that it is interested in receiving R03, R21 and R01 applications in response to these three Funding Opportunity Announcements and would thus like to clarify the language in the contact information list to read:

NHGRI will fund applications for ethical studies pertaining to research areas that the institute supports.  Inquiries about these FOAs are encouraged. The opportunity to clarify any issues or questions from potential applicants is welcome.
