Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to announce a virtual "informational session" to answer questions for potential applicants to the K99/R00 Pathway to Independence Award. This two-phase award provides support for the final stages of postdoctoral training (K99) and independent funding when the candidate secures a faculty position (R00).

Please note that this informational session will focus on providing general information and answering general questions about the K99/R00 funding mechanism. Any questions regarding a specific funding opportunity or questions about an individual application should be directed to your NICHD program officer. 

Eligibility for the K99/R00: U.S. citizen or non-citizen, with research or clinical doctoral degree, and no more than 4 years of post-doctoral research experience.
