Purpose

The purpose of this notice is to correct an error in the Research Strategy instructions for PAR-23-199 ClinGen Genomic Curation Expert Panels (U24 Clinical Trial Not Allowed) regarding the requirements around eRA Commons IDs.  All personnel listed on the R&R Senior/Key Person Profile form, including Senior/Key Personnel as well as Other Significant Contributors (see definitions in the NIH Grants Policy Statement (NIH GPS 1.2)), are required to have an eRA Commons ID, as clarified in NOT-OD-24-042.  This means that all members of the proposed Gene and/or Variant Curation Expert Panel(s) need an eRA Commons ID so that their NIH biosketch can be included in the application.  If a member of the Expert Panel does not have an eRA Commons ID, then applicants will encounter an eRA system error that prevents submission of their application to NIH.  Applicants are encouraged to verify whether any Expert Panel members need to request an eRA Commons ID well in advance of the receipt date.
