This Notice of Special Interest (NOSI) encourages applications for support of conferences focused on evidence-informed interventions to enhance training, workforce development and diversity in the biomedical research enterprise.
The dissemination of knowledge through conferences stimulates hypothesis-driven inquiry into evidence-informed approaches in biomedical research education and training, workforce development, and diversity. Conferences represent a valuable opportunity for practitioners, researchers, and other consumers of evidence-informed approaches to interact, collaborate, share experiences and solutions, and to learn from experts within, across, and outside their professional fields.
NIGMS encourages applications that propose a conference* that focuses on training, workforce development, and diversity, for example by:

Potential applicants are strongly encouraged to discuss the scientific meeting purpose, goals, themes, and topics for potential responsiveness to this NOSI with the contact listed below. Note: A discussion with the listed contact does not replace the required Permission to Submit letter.
This NOSI applies to the due date of April 12, 2023.
