Webinar Information

Planning a submission to the NIGMS Collaborative Program Grants for Multidisciplinary Teams (RM1) Funding Opportunity Announcement

Tuesday, April 16, 1:00-2:00 p.m. Eastern Time

The Collaborative Program Grants for Multidisciplinary Teams (RM1) announcement is unique to NIGMS. Applications must be entirely within the NIGMS mission and must address a biomedical problem of significant scope and impact. Applications must present a single integrated research program that requires the contributions of a multidisciplinary team of investigators. Achievement of program goals must not be feasible with support of a collection of individual projects. The application is submitted as a multiple PD/PI application and requires a Team Management Plan. The application may include a request for funding in future years to enable newly identified Early Stage Investigators to join the team. Because applications are limited to one per institution per review round, early consultation with NIGMS staff is strongly encouraged. However, final decisions regarding the acceptance of an application can only be made once the full application is received by NIH.

During this webinar, the Institute Director and other NIGMS staff will discuss what areas are within the NIGMS mission and the process by which applications will be assessed for fit to the program. Key aspects of the FOA that prospective applicants should be aware of will also be discussed.

To attend the webinar, please Join WebEx meeting shortly before 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
