Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to alert potential applicants to PAR-16-433, 'Support of NIGMS Program Project Grants (P01)," that this FOA will expire after the September 8, 2017 due date and will not be renewed. 

Applicants interested in collaborative research that requires multidisciplinary teams should consider applying to PAR-17-340 "Collaborative Program Grant for Multidisciplinary Teams (RM1)".

The Collaborative Program Grant will support research to address complex and challenging biomedical problems that are important to the mission of NIGMS through integrated, multidisciplinary research teams. This program is designed to support research in which a well-justified team of interdependent investigators offers significant advantages over support by individual research project grants. This program may also support the development of Early Stage Investigators through exploratory pilot studies.
