Effective with May 15, 2007 application submission/receipt date, the National Institute of General Medical Sciences is revising the maximum budget that can be requested in the Research Initiative for Scientific Enhancement (RISE) applications. The new limits (annual direct costs) for applications proposing the following student development programs are: Baccalaureate degree students only: $500K; baccalaureate and master’s degree students: $750K; Ph.D. degree students only: $1M; and any combination of baccalaureate, master’s and Ph.D. degree students: $1M.
