Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to announce a change in the funds available for fiscal year 2016 and anticipated number of awards for RFA-FD-16-037. Effective immediately CDER intends to fund up to $800,000 for fiscal year 2016 in support of this grant program and it is anticipated that up to one (1) award will be made, not to exceed $800,000 in total costs (direct plus indirect), per award.

Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards:
The number of awards is contingent upon FDA appropriations and the submission of a sufficient number of meritorious applications. Future year amounts will depend on annual appropriations, availability of funding and awardee performance.
FDA/ Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) intends to fund up to $4,000,000, for fiscal year 2016 in support of this grant program.
It is anticipated that up to five (5) awards will be made, not to exceed $800,000 in total costs (direct plus indirect), per award.
