Purpose
The Eligibility Criteria has been revised: The current eligibility state reads:
This opportunity is only available to State government agencies with current FDA tissue residue investigation contracts that will not be renewed during the project period of performance for this cooperative agreement. State government agencies that are awarded a tissue residue investigation contract for services conducted during the drug residue cooperative agreement period of performance will be ineligible to apply.
Competition is limited to these organizations to improve their current drug residue prevention program(s) and develop a stronger foundation to prevent drug residues in animal derived foods through educational outreach, training to industry and individuals to communicate proper drug use and promote effective management practices for drug residue prevention.
Applicants shall not be under a tissue residue investigation contract with the FDA for the duration of the award.

This opportunity is available to all State government agencies that currently have a FDA tissue residue investigation contract. State government agencies that are awarded a tissue residue investigation contract for services conducted during the drug residue cooperative agreement period of performance will be eligible to apply. These applicants can simultaneously maintain a tissue residue investigation contract and a drug residue cooperative agreement for the duration of the award.
State government agencies that received notification that their FDA tissue residue investigation contract will not be renewed in 2015-2016 are eligible to apply. However, such applicants are not eligible to simultaneously have a tissue residue investigation contract and a drug residue cooperative agreement during the project period for this cooperative agreement.
Competition is limited to these organizations to improve their current drug residue prevention program(s) and develop a stronger foundation to prevent drug residues in animal derived foods through educational outreach, training to industry and individuals to communicate proper drug use and promote effective management practices for drug residue prevention.
The application deadline has also been revised.
The current application deadline is July 15, 2015
