Purpose

This notice is a Request for Information (RFI) inviting input on NIEHS Strategic Planning for 2024-2028. 

Background

NIEHS solicits input from stakeholders in academia and industry, health care professionals, patient advocates and advocacy organizations, scientific or professional organizations, federal agencies, and other interested members of the public by reviewing the goals in the 2018-2023 Strategic Plan and proposing new goals for the 2024-2028 Strategic Plan. 

Information Requested

This RFI requests general comments on the direction of environmental health sciences as well as comments specific to the individual goals under the three themes outlined in the current Strategic Plan. Specifically, you are asked to suggest:

1. Goals for Advancing Environmental Health Sciences (EHS)
2. Goals for Promoting Translation--Data to knowledge to action 
3. Goals for Enhancing EHS through stewardship and support.

How to Submit a Response

All comments should be submitted electronically at https://www.niehs.nih.gov/about/strategicplan/strategicplan2024.

Responses must be received by April 20, 2023.  Responses to this RFI are voluntary. 

This request is for information and planning purposes only and should not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Federal Government to provide support for any ideas identified in response to it. The Government will use the information submitted in response to this RFI at its discretion. Please note that the United States Government will not pay for the preparation of any information submitted or for its use of that information.
