National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS)
The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences recognizes
the environmental and social impact of the Deepwater Horizon Gulf Oil Spill
will continue. To that end, in partnership with other NIH Institutes, NIEHS announced
the Deepwater Horizon Research Consortium: Healthy Impacts and Community
Resiliency, RFA-ES-11-006.
Therefore, effective immediately, NIEHS will no longer accept applications
related to the Deepwater Horizon Gulf Oil Spill submitted under program
announcements on the Mechanism for Time-Sensitive Research Opportunities in Environmental
Health Sciences (PAR-10-083 and PAR-10-084).
NIEHS will continue to accept unsolicited R01, R03, and R21 applications
related to the Gulf Oil Spill at all receipt dates. These applications
will be accepted and processed through the regular review/award cycle
procedures.
