Clarification on Page Limits for RFA-ES-09-011, Engineered Nanomaterials: Linking Physical and Chemical Properties to Biology (U19)

Purposes

The purpose of this notice is to clarify and emphasize page limitations for applications submitted in response to RFA-ES-09-011, Engineered Nanomaterials:  Linking Physical and Chemical Properties to Biology, and to provide access to the slides from the Technical Assistance Webinar conducted on Wednesday, December 9, 2009.

Potential applicants are reminded to use the PHS 398 Version 11/2007.  Applications must include three projects and an overall research plan.  The overall research plan is capped at 25 pages.  Items 2-5, as described in the PHS 398 for R01-type projects, are capped at 25 pages for Projects 1 and 2.  Project 3 is expected to be an R21-type exploratory/developmental project, and the cap for Items 2-5 is 15 pages.  Applications must also have an Administrative Core and a core for characterizing nanoparticles.  Core descriptions are capped at 10 pages each.
