National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS)

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) is soliciting 
proposals for the purpose of providing scientific and administrative support 
for the Center for the Evaluation of Risks to Human Reproduction (CERHR), to 
include one (1) toxicologist located at NIEHS, that will permit the CERHR to 
organize and conduct expert panel evaluations of chemicals that may pose a 
hazard to human reproduction and development.  The Contractor shall provide 
the necessary personnel, materials, facilities, and equipment to (a) establish 
and maintain an expert registry, (b) schedule and host quarterly meetings of 
the Core Committee, (c) provide chemical dossiers to the core committee, (d) 
prepare and distribute draft reports, (d) schedule expert panel meetings, (f) 
produce and distribute expert panel reports, and (g) maintain the CERHR web 
site.  This contract is expected to cover a two-year performance period with 
three one-year options.  The contract will be a level-of-effort, term-form 
cost reimbursement type contract.  It is estimated that approximately 5 person 
years of effort will be required each contract year, principal 
investigator/senior reproductive toxicologist, 2 toxicologists, and management 
coordinator - 100%, information specialist and computer specialist shall be 
available 75% and 25%, respectively.  The anticipated release date of the RFP 
is October 10, 2002 with proposals due November 26, 2002.  Interested firms
