National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences anticipates 
negotiations with the University of Utah on a non-competitive basis for the 
titled requirement under the authority of 41 USC 253(c)1 as set forth in FAR 
6.302-1.  The proposed contractor will provide support in three task areas 
over a three year transition period during which time the publicly accessible 
data base currently maintained by the University of Utah is transferred to         
the NIEHS.  Main efforts will entail continued database development and 
extension of the design, applications development, and component integration.  
Because the database was developed under grant to and is maintained by the 
proposed contractor, the Government does not anticipate negotiations with any 
other source.  See Note 22.  The expected release date of the RFP is June 14, 
2002 with proposals due on July 15, 2002.  A copy of the solicitation will be 
available on the internet at: http://www.niehs.nih.gov/dert/rcb/rfp.htm. The
