Purpose

The purpose of this notice is to inform applicants of a clarification to Participant Costs for PAR-23-114, "Enhancing Science, Technology, EnginEering, and Math Educational Diversity (ESTEEMED) Research Education Experiences (R25 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)."   

NIBIB and NICHD are adding the following clarifying language to Section II. Award Information, Participant Costs:

Participants, while in the program, will be allowed $500 per year to travel to relevant scientific meetings. In addition, participants undertaking an off-campus summer research experience will be allowed an additional $1000 for travel to the site if this cost is not covered by other sources. Expenses for local and foreign travel are not allowed.

All other aspects of this NOFO remain unchanged.

This change is effective January 17, 2024.
