Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to inform potential applicants that the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) is participating, effective immediately, in PAR-21-166 "Academic-Industrial Partnerships for Translation of Technologies for Diagnosis and Treatment (R01 - Clinical Trial Not Allowed)".

The following sections of PAR-21-166 have been modified (shown in bold italics) to reflect the participation of NIBIB in this Funding Opportunity Announcement.

NIBIB Statement of Interest

NIBIB interests include the development and integration of advanced bioengineering, sensing, imaging, and computational technologies for the improvement of human health and medical care. Consistent with this FOA (PAR-21-166), NIBIB is interested in technologies related to sensing, imaging, and bioinformatics, including (but not limited to) molecular diagnosis assays, imaging systems, image processing methods, and informatics tools. Potential applicants are encouraged to contact the appropriate Program Director in their scientific program area of interest (https://www.nibib.nih.gov/research-funding) to determine if their research fits within the NIBIB mission.
