Effective May 2, 2005, the National Institute for Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) will no longer participate in the K02 Independent Scientist Development Award program announcement PA-00-020, which was released in the NIH guide for grants and contracts on December 2, 1999 at https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-00-020.html.

The NIBIB will no longer accept new or competing continuation applications. Applicants with previously unfunded K02 applications from the NIBIB may submit amended (revised) applications. Per NIH policy, each applicant can revise a K02 application two times after submission of the original application.
