Purpose

This Notice revises NIDDK Central Repository (NIDDK-CR) Cost Recovery Policy (NOT-DK-16-006) and updates the cost recovery fees associated with preparing biospecimens for shipment to approved requestors effective May 1, 2024. This policy applies to renewable and non-renewable biospecimen requests, including those submitted by approved ancillary investigators. It does not apply to existing biospecimen requests submitted and approved prior to May 1, 2024, or requests from PAR-19-319  or PAR-22-171 applicants whose grant application was submitted before May 1, 2024, or biospecimen requests submitted by select legacyNIDDK-funded clinical cooperative agreements or consortia requesting specimens for their internal use, as specified in approved Resources Archival and Sharing Plans.

NOT-DK-16-006 is amended as follows—

Updates NIDDK Central Repository website URL to https://repository.niddk.nih.gov/home/ and the link to the cost recovery fees price list to https://repository.niddk.nih.gov/pages/costs/. All other terms of NOT-DK-16-006 remain the same.
