Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to update the SF424 (R&R) Cover instructions for RFA-DK-20-502, Limited Competition for the Continuation of the Diabetes Prevention Program Outcomes Study (DPPOS) Biostatistics Research Center (BRC) (Collaborative U01 Clinical Trial Required). Under Section IV. Application and Submission Instruction, SF424 (R&R) Cover Letter, Descriptive Title of Applicant's Project, the FOA title was omitted. This Notice amends that section, providing the appropriate title of the FOA and additional instructions for this section.

Section IV. Application and Submission Instructions, Instructions for Application Submission, SF424(R&R) Cover currently reads:

  1. All instructions in the SF424 (R&R) Application Guide must be followed.

    Descriptive Title of Applicant's Project: To allow NIH to identify a group of applications as a related set of collaborative applications, the titles for each application in the set must have the following format: a “1/N” indicator + Identical Title (e.g., “1/3”, where the 1/3 means this is site 1 of 3 sites in the set. The other sites will be labeled 2/3, etc.) Titles may not exceed 200 characters in length, including the tag, e.g., 1/3, at the beginning of the title.

Section IV. Application and Submission Instructions, Instructions for Application Submission, SF424(R&R) Cover provides the title (see in italics) and has been modified to read:

  1. All instructions in the SF424 (R&R) Application Guide must be followed.

    Descriptive Title of Applicant's Project: To allow NIH to identify a group of applications as a related set of collaborative applications, the titles for each application in the set must have the following format: a “1/N” indicator + Identical Title Limited Competition for the Continuation of the Diabetes Prevention Program Outcomes Study (DPPOS) Biostatistics Center (e.g., “1/3”, where the 1/3 means this is site 1 of 3 sites in the set. The other sites will be labeled 2/3, etc.) Titles may not exceed 200 characters in length, including the tag, e.g., 1/3, at the beginning of the title. A set of applications is defined as all applications submitted in response to this FOA as well as the associated FOA (RFA-DK-20-501). Titles of all collaborative applications must be identical except as follows: Applications submitted in response to this FOA must include "Biostatistics Center" at the end of the title; the applications submitted in response to RFA-DK-20-501 should include "Clinical Center" at the end of the title. Titles may not exceed 200 characters in length, including the tag (e.g., 1/3). The numbering order of the collaborative applications in the consortium is at the discretion of the applicants.

All other aspects of this FOA remain unchanged.
