Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to extend PA-13-183 "Addressing Health Disparities in NIDDK Diseases (R01)" by one cycle. The FOA seeks to encourage research in the following high priority diseases within the scientific mission areas of the NIDDK: Diabetes, obesity, nutrition-related disorders, hepatitis C, gallbladder disease, H. Pylori infection, sickle cell disease, kidney diseases, urologic diseases, hematologic diseases, metabolic, gastrointestinal, hepatic, and renal complications from infection with HIV. The current expiration date is May 8, 2016. The new expiration date is September 8, 2016.

This Notice also updates Section VII. Agency Contacts, Scientific/Research Contact(s) for the Office of Minority Health Research Coordination, NIDDK. The FOA has been updated as follows:
