In response to questions from potential applicants, the NIDDK wishes to clarify instructions regarding the initial and subsequent year budgets of applications submitted in response to RFA-DK-10-013.

Section II. Award Information is being amended as follows:

Award Budget

Applications for year 1 budgets should be less than $500,000 direct costs. Total direct costs requested for years 1 to 5 cannot exceed $2,500,000, but budgets in years 2 to 5 may be varied to cover the intensity of work anticipated during each of the years. All budgets should reflect the actual needs of the proposed project year.
