Key Dates
Release Date: October 05, 2004
This addendum is to inform potential applicants of additional information on resources that the Beta Cell Biology Consortium will provide to all awardees. The specific core resources that the BCBC will provide are posted at the following web site: http://www.betacell.org/php/highlight35.php
It is anticipated that RFA awards will be made by August 1, 2005. In lieu of the Fall Steering Committee Meeting 2005, all PIs will be expected to attend a Beta Cell Biology Consortium Kick-off retreat, and apply the appropriate budget for travel and per diem from their grants to attend this meeting. This retreat is scheduled to be held at Vanderbilt University on August 25-26, 2005. This will be an intensive two day meeting that will focus on stimulating interactions and in determining the organization for all new BCBC activities. This meeting will be designed to provide the optimal environment to engage groups in creative thought, planning and action. Ideas will be presented, discussed, and prioritized, and both the objectives, and participants for new collaborative projects will be determined. It is expected that these new group activities will commence by early 2006.
